More Sea Action (37)

Welcome back. Happy to see you. Last time I was showing the beautiful Moray Firth and North Sea in front of the sea wall about 50 paces from our front door. Since then, I have more to show you. Today, Tuesday, January 15th, the temperature was down to 32 and the seas were wild. I saw it first from the roof window (sky ight) in my bedroom. I looked out and saw the waves break and flare over the small light post in the harbor.

I ran downstairs and put on ALL my gear and ran down to the sea wall. I sidestepped the water splashing over onto the street. By the time I got back, I was frozen. I guess I’m going to have to buy some really insulated gloves.

I really don’t have much to say about this. I just want to show you some wonderful pictures.

I continued along the sea wall toward the harbor. Many of the boats have been taken into dry dock for the winter. Most of them are pleasure boats as Cullen is no longer a fishing center.

Trying not to stand too close to the edge!

Then, this morning, Thursday, January 17th, after hearing the waves hit the sea wall all night, I decided another photo excursion was needed. Again, I set out with all the clothes I have, including my new insulated gloves. It had sleeted all night, although there was no accumulation. The temperature this am is 37F. But the sea is wild. The following pictures speak for themselves. The light post is about 20 feet high.

And my favorite. (I wish I were a real photographer. )

Bye for now. See you next time.
